Marabilis was founded by Petra Goehringer with the vision of creating high-quality, enduring wardrobe essentials - made with love to wear.

The debut style featured a classic, well-tailored shirt reimagined with a modern sensibility and crafted from the finest natural fabrics. Timeless and versatile, these shirts convey effortless elegance and remain the heart of the collection.

Each piece is produced locally in New York in small, conscious batches using thoughtfully sourced fabrics from Italy - honoring both craftmanship and sustainability.

Born and raised in Germany, Petra studied fashion with a focus on fine tailoring, gaining the in-depth knowledge necessary to create luxury garments from scratch. She honed her skills in an exclusive Haute Couture Atelier, designing and constructing bespoke pieces with meticulous attention to detail. Her journey took her through Paris and London, before arriving in New York, where she continued creating fashion and launched her own label, MARABILIS, in 2020.

The name Marabilis was inspired by the Latin word Mirabilis, meaning wonderful. We take that quite literally - and we hope you feel wonderful every time you wear one of our shirt.
