Marabilis was founded by Petra Goehringer with the purpose to create high quality enduring wardrobe essentials made with love to wear.

The initial style presented a classic well-tailored shirt with a modern attitude in a selection of the finest natural fabrics. These timeless and versatile shirts convey an effortless elegance and remain the focus of the collection.

The collection is made locally in New York in small batches using a thoughtfully sourced selection of the finest fabrics from Italy.

Born and raised in Germany, Petra learned her craft from the core, studying fashion and focusing on fine tailoring to gain the in depth knowledge and skills necessary to make a luxury garment from scratch. While honing her skills at an exclusive Haute Couture Atelier, she designed and tailored numerous pieces always using the finest materials. Petra went on to spend time living and working in Paris and London. After arriving in New York several years ago, Petra continued creating fashion leading to launching her own label, MARABILIS, in 2020.

The name Marabilis was inspired from the Latin adjective Mirabilis, which means wonderful. We take it literally, and hope you feel wonderful wearing our shirt.
